Warranty & Guarantee

We Back Our Work.
In Writing. Every Time.

Every job we complete comes with a clear, written warranty. Here's exactly what's covered, what isn't, and how to make a claim if you ever need to.

Coverage at a Glance

Three Warranty Tiers — Based on the Type of Work

We cover different scopes of work differently because the nature of the job changes what a warranty can reasonably promise. Here's how it breaks down.

2 YR
New Installation Warranty
Parts & Labor Covered
  • Water heater replacements
  • New drainage & water supply systems
  • Toilet replacements
  • Garbage disposal replacements
  • Sump pump installations
  • Full repiping
  • Faucet & fixture replacements (new)
  • Any new equipment or system install
1 YR
Service & Repair Warranty
Parts & Labor Covered
  • Emergency repairs
  • Spot pipe repairs
  • Faucet repairs (existing fixtures)
  • Hose bib repairs
  • Valve repairs & replacements
  • Any repair to existing systems or fixtures
  • Rehab work on aging plumbing
  • Partial repiping
30 DAY
Drain Cleaning Guarantee
Labor Covered
  • If the same drain backs up within 30 days, it's covered
  • We come back, assess the situation, and discuss options
  • Applies to the specific drain cleared
  • Does not cover new blockages in separate drains

The short version: New installs get 2 years. Repair and service work gets 1 year. Drain cleaning is covered for 30 days — if it backs up, we come back and discuss options. All warranties cover both parts and labor — if something we installed or repaired fails within the warranty period, we come back and make it right at no charge.

Coverage Details

What's Covered — and What Isn't

We want you to know exactly what our warranty includes before you ever need to use it.

Covered

  • Defective parts or materials we supplied
  • Workmanship failures — leaks, improper installation, or failures caused by how the work was done
  • Equipment failures on units we installed within the warranty period
  • Return visit and all labor to correct a covered issue
  • Drain re-clogging within 30 days (one redo)

Not Covered

  • Work performed on our completed job by the homeowner or another contractor
  • Damage caused by abuse, neglect, or misuse
  • Normal wear and tear on consumable parts
  • Pre-existing conditions in areas we did not work on
  • Damage caused by freezing, flooding, acts of nature, or events outside our control
  • Drain clogs caused by new debris, foreign objects, or root intrusion (not the original blockage)
  • Customer-supplied parts or equipment we installed at your direction
  • Issues unrelated to the original scope of work

Important: If anyone — including the homeowner — performs work on a system or fixture we repaired or installed, the warranty on that work is void. This includes partial modifications, DIY repairs, or having a second contractor work on the same system. If you're unsure whether something will affect your coverage, call us before proceeding.

Extended Coverage

The 10-Year Full Coverage Warranty.
You Won't Find This Anywhere Else.

Most plumbers offer a 1-year labor warranty on water heater installs — if they offer anything in writing at all. We offer something the plumbing industry almost never does: a full 10-year parts and labor warranty on select water heater installations.

Think about what that means. You won't pay for a service call. You won't pay for parts. You won't pay for labor. For ten years. If anything goes wrong with a unit we installed under this warranty, we come back and make it right — completely covered.

10 YR
Manufacturer Warranty
  • Tank, parts, and components covered by State Water Heaters
  • Available on select ProLine® XE and premium models
  • Registered at time of installation
10 YR
Anchor Labor Warranty
  • All labor covered by Anchor Plumbing & Gas — parts and labor
  • No service call fees for covered work
  • In writing, at the time of install

To put this in perspective: the industry standard for plumber labor warranties on water heater installs is 1 year — often less, and rarely in writing. A 10-year full parts and labor warranty from both the manufacturer and the installer is something you will almost never find. We offer it on select models because we believe in the equipment we install and the work we do.

Making a Warranty Claim

How the Process Works

We keep this simple. If something we did isn't holding up, call us. Here's what happens next.

1

Call Us

Describe the issue and reference your original service date. We'll look up your job and get you scheduled.

2

$89 Diagnostic Visit

A technician comes out to assess the problem. The standard $89 diagnostic fee applies to all warranty claim visits.

3

Fee Waived If Covered

If we determine the issue falls within your warranty, the $89 fee is waived and we complete the work at no charge.

About the diagnostic fee: We require the $89 diagnostic fee on all warranty visits because diagnosing the cause of a failure takes time — and not every callback is a warranty issue. If the problem is caused by something outside our warranty (a new clog, unrelated damage, work done by others), you'll receive a full written price before we do anything. If it's our fault, the fee disappears and we fix it.

Drain cleaning claims: If a drain we cleaned backs up within 30 days, it's covered — no diagnostic fee. We'll come back, assess what's happening, and walk you through your options. If the drain needs further attention beyond clearing — a camera inspection, a repair, or a more permanent solution — we'll explain what we found and give you a full written price before any additional work begins.

Satisfaction Guarantee

100% Satisfaction — Or We Make It Right.

Our warranty covers failures. Our satisfaction guarantee covers something different — your confidence in the quality of our work.

If you're not 100% satisfied with our workmanship, here's what happens:
Option 1 — We Make It Right

We return and correct the issue at no additional charge. We stand behind what we install and how we install it. If there's something you're not happy with, we want to know — and we'll fix it.

Option 2 — Full Refund & Removal

If we can't resolve your concern to your satisfaction, we'll refund your payment, remove what we installed, and restore the work area — so you're free to bring in another contractor with no strings attached.

The satisfaction guarantee applies to the quality of our workmanship — not to the cost of the job, changes in scope discovered after work begins, or issues unrelated to how the work was performed. If you have a concern at any point during or after your service, call us before anything else. Most issues are resolved on the first conversation.
